Design Statement
Life presents one with many opportunities and many paths to follow. My journey is filled with images. These images give me a voice to express all I feel, hear and observe. Colors and textures catch my eye and my thoughts flash like tiny snap shots.
Visual communication allows a breakdown of physical and philosophical barriers. Art allows me to melt words, experiences and images into symbolic portraits and landscapes. Using symbols both literally and archetypal, my artwork aims to show a link amongst all of us. The fusion of ideas with color and form gives birth to a collective portrait of human spirit despite background diversity.
Through an exploration of art media, I hope to capture different slices of life, a new way of observing nature, a colorful expression of pattern, and a chance to document my expedition . My art is remembering. It is a wish, a whim, and a hope. My art is living, a discovery of self, an attempt to understand others, a search for answers, an observation of nature, and a discovery of the world, always changing, evolving, and growing.
